The RI Fest will be the first time that "Eve" has shown on the East Coast. As for a Texas screening, the "Eve" producer and director are still waiting to hear from the Austin Film Festival....
Alli has been cast in supporting roles for a couple of indie shorts to be filmed in San Antonio: "Froot Loops," as the daughter of the lead, and "How to Survive a Zombie Attack" as a featured zombie. Look for her family and friends to participate in that one, too!
Check out the Burnt Orange Productions website. Alli was an extra in two of its films now in post-production: "Homo Erectus" and "Elvis & Anabelle," which filmed in Texas during April and May. "Elvis & Anabelle" has a particularly good website. The romantic fantasy stars Keith Carradine, Blake Lively, Max Minghella, Joseph Montegna, and Mary Steenbergen.
You can hear Alli, as featured preteen talent, doing some professional voiceover demos for Keith Harter Music, a nationally known recording studio in S.A. Just click on the "voice talent" icon on the right side of KHM's front page, then scroll down to click and listen to Alli's demos. (It works best if you have high-speed net access, of course.)

"Into the Woods, Jr." will be staged during the weekend of May 20 by the San Pedro Playhouse Troupe. Be there to see Alli as the Baker's Wife!
Film Updates: "The Yard" screened during the 2006 SXSW Film Festival in an evening of shorts. It looked good on the big screen!... "Eve of Understanding" has now been shown at two film festivals: the Sedona Film Festival in Arizona and the Method Film Fest, a festival that celebrates the craft of actors, in California....

The new year starts with good news! "Eve of Understanding" will have its world premiere in February at the Sedona Film Festival. Part of the independent feature film was shot in Sedona, Arizona, and the producer and director have some strong family support there. Here is a quote from the festival's website: "Lovers of independent films will celebrate the best in cinematic art, amid unparalleled scenic beauty, Feb. 23-26 in Sedona, Arizona. The occasion is the 12th annual Sedona International Film Festival & Workshop, named the 'Fest to Impress' by MovieMaker Magazine and a top 100 destination for the American Bus Association."
"Eve of Understanding" wasn't selected for Sundance 2006, but it has been submitted to numerous other national and international film festivals, including the 2006 SXSW Film Festival. We'll know by early February if it will be shown at the Austin festival....
Right after the Christmas holiday, Alli and her sister Camie recorded a PSA for the Museum of South Texas History. (Their dad and grandfather also contributed.) The spot has played frequently on KURV-AM 710 in Edinburg, Texas, but you can also hear it here.

Also, there are special weekday shows at 7 pm on December 19-22. The San Antonio Express-News called it a "merry and bright" production full of "warmth and good cheer...."
Alli, her sister Camie, and mother Kelly were cast as cave people in the new Adam Rifkin comedy, "Homo Erectus." They worked as featured extras and spent a 12-hour day grinding rocks, chewing on raw potatoes, picking nits out of each others' mercilessly teased hair, and packing the campsite to run from the bad guys. Here's a picture of them in full stone-age regalia! David Carradine ("Kill Bill," "Kung Fu") and Talia Shire (The "Rocky" series) star in the movie, which is being produced by the University of Texas @ Austin (Burnt Orange Productions)....
Alli has some new headshots! The photos were shot earlier this month by San Antonio photographer Phil Cassell, who also shot her headshots from March 2005.

Alli was cast as in a supporting role in the short indie film, "The Yard," shot in Austin during the last week of July. Directed by Kate Dawson and written and produced by Ryan Wickerham, the dark, comic film portrays the effects of bullying in an elementary school. You can see Alli in the memorably weird role as a mutant zombie student prisoner here.
